Emirates has upped the frequency of its Adelaide-Dubai route. The rise from four flights per week to daily, comes just three months after the route’s launch and follows “exceptional demand”.
Emirates is likely to introduce a new top tier to its Skywards frequent flyer program. The new Platinum level will align its loyalty program with that of new partner Qantas. The two airlines are aligning many of their products; with Qantas adopting Emirates’ chauffeur service for first and business class passengers last year.
Airline alliance oneworld has announced out new benefits for top-tier cardholders. Emerald cardholders of its airline partners’ frequent flyer programs will now be about to use fast-track lanes through airport security gates worldwide and are entitles to additional checked baggage in the form of an extra piece or an extra 20kgs where weight limits apply. The extra allowance applies regardless of which cabin class they fly in.
Marriott International is about to double its presence in Thailand. New hotel management agreements will see the group operate three new hotels in Bangkok, two in Pattaya, one in Phuket and one in Hua Hin. The new properties will be a mix of Marriott, Marriott Resort & Spa, JW Marriott and Ritz Carlton-branded properties.
